Veterinary Spinal Manipulation Therapy (VSMT) is also known as animal chiropractic therapy. VSMT focuses on the nervous and muscular systems as it relates to the neck, back, pelvis and joints. If movement and range of motion is not normal in the vertebral column, it will affect the underlying spinal cord (subluxations) which will affect distant nerves that are responsible for proper muscle and organ function. If your pet has a subluxation, it could result in loss of mobility, stiffness, pain, tension and organ dysfunction.
VSMT is a natural form of treatment that is concerned with correcting any subluxations in the body to allow the body to function optimally. For this reason, it is of particular benefit to any pets that are lame
or have neck/back pain. It can also help with some internal disorders. VSMT can and should be used in conjunction with conventional veterinary medicine to optimize your animal’s health.
Pets that may benefit from VSMT: animals with arthritis, chronic pain, recovery after surgery or injury, hip dysplasia, incontinence, GI disorders, nerve and muscle issues and especially senior pets!
